Flounders might be one of the more unappreciated fish in our seas. Did you know that larval flounder are actually perfectly symmetrical? As they grow, one eye begins to migrate to the other side of the body and they metamorphose into the flat shape we are all familiar with. I mean, human puberty is pretty bad, but I think little flounders have it worse. 😆
