Murder Point oysters have quite the story behind their namesake. These oysters are grown off the coast of Alabama, in an area originally known as Myrtle point. This area became famous for producing some of the best-tasting oysters in the south. It became such a booming industry that conflict arose between families over certain oyster leases that resulted in, you guessed it, a murder! To this day, these bivalves carry the slogan "oysters worth killing for." Having tasted these myself, I find it hard to disagree!
