Title: "Tree Spirit"

Live oaks possess an ethereal beauty with their twisted, intertwined branches and boughs draped with curtains of Spanish moss. I grew up on an island where hidden in a few of these giants were small carvings of wizened, weather-worn faces. The story is, the spirits were carved in memory of sailors who lost their lives at sea aboard ships made from the oak trees felled on the island.

This is an archival quality fine art print of my original acrylic painting.
