Birds & Feathers
With feathers they leave behind like treasures and songs that echo through the trees, birds have always captured my heart. Here I try and capture the beauty in nature through my paintings and fine art prints of some of my favorite birds and feathers that I've found.
Fine Art Prints
Below are some of my best selling fine art prints, featuring some of my favorite subjects from the coast!
Fish & Flies
The start of my love affair with fish can be attributed to my dad. He took me fishing out on our old aluminum skiff as soon as I was big enough to fit in a life jacket. I learned how to throw a cast net for bait, how to rig up a rod, and the best creeks to catch reds. When I learned how to scuba dive, my obsession really took off as I discovered the incredible spectrum of fish, in all shapes and colors, that could be found on a reef. Later on in life I picked up a fly rod, which absolutely changed the way I experienced fishing. The love of this sport has taken me on travels to unique places around the world just to target certain species.
Oysters & Shells
I have always loved collecting shells, sea glass, and other interesting objects I would find while beach combing. When I was young, I kept them all displayed in my room on what I called my "nature table." I would carefully rearrange them as I added to my collection, making sure my display was perfect. It's no surprise that these were some of my first subjects to start painting. I have been studying these shells my whole life, so putting them on canvas seemed only natural.

Recent Work
I find it difficult to describe my artistic style with a single adjective because I often have the urge to translate a subject onto canvas or paper in many different ways. Sometimes I want to paint loose, colorful representations of animals and landscapes and other times I find joy in the tedious detailing of a wildlife illustration.
