I must confess, I've always been a bit of a bird nerd. What I love most about birds is that they are (usually) easy to observe. So many animals live secretive lives that we only get a glimpse of here and there, often though car headlights or chance encounter. However, birds seem content to ignore us humans and carry on with their lives. You can easily sit on any shoreline or park bench with a pair of binoculars and see dozens of different species.
Butterflies and Bugs
When I was a kid, I use tell people I was going to be an entomologist when I grew up. I would check out books from the local library about insects and I even started my own specimen collection. While I'm no entomologist today, I still have a deep appreciation of nearly all our creepy crawlies and I love painting their delicate wings and bright colors (though to be honest I'm still not a big fan of roaches 😆)!
Coastal Life Prints
Beautiful and colorful marine life prints make a great gift for any lover of the coast! If you do decide to take home more than one, visit our discounted print set in shop collections.
Simple, nature inspired prints for the minimalist decorator. Over the years I've collected countless treasures and curiosities from my time spent outdoors - feathers, sharks teeth, interesting rocks, deer antlers, fossils, etc.... Most of these feather paintings are inspired by feathers I've found or been given, but others I imagined up!
The start of my love affair with fish can be attributed to my dad. He took me fishing out on our old aluminum skiff as soon as I was big enough to fit in a life jacket. I learned how to throw a cast net for bait, how to rig up a rod, and the best creeks to catch reds. When I learned how to scuba dive, my obsession really took off as I discovered the incredible spectrum of fish, in all shapes and colors, that could be found on a reef. Later on in life I picked up a fly rod, which absolutely changed the way I experienced fishing. The love of this sport has taken me on travels to unique places around the world just to target certain species.
These flies were painted straight out of my fly box. Since learning to fly fish, I've been amazed at the intricate flies that people can tie - they are a work of art in themselves! Mix and match your favorite ones to gift to an angler. If you have a special fly you'd like me to paint, just shoot me a message, I'd love to create something personal for you!

Oyster & Shell Prints
My love of oysters (and all shells really) started when I was young. I had a little collection of shells, sea glass, and other natural treasures I would find while beach combing and I kept them all displayed in my room on what I called my "nature table". I would carefully rearrange them as I added to my collection, making sure my display was perfect. It's no surprise that these were some of my first subjects to start painting, I had been studying these shells my whole life, so putting them on canvas seemed only natural.
