I grew up finding knobbed whelks on my Georgia coast beaches. These were the shells I’d keep so that, long after I’d gone home, I could hold them up to my ear and still hear the ocean waves. Sometimes, I would find one with the mollusk still inside and I would wade out into the waves or a tide pool and return it to the sea.

This is an archival quality fine art print of my original watercolor painting.
