This painting was inspired by our recent move to a small cabin in the woods. Our new home is surrounded by mature oaks, hickories, and hardwoods that have put on the most stunning show of fall foliage I’ve ever seen. I woke up to this view every day and knew I had to paint it.
Standing in front of this piece feels like stepping into the woods on a bright fall morning, where dappled light pours through layers of gold, green, and amber leaves, illuminating everything in an autumn glow.
